BELLE VUE boss Mark Lemon admits that Leicester will give his side a “tough test”.

The ATPI Aces face the Lions in a repeat of last season’s ROWE Motor Oil Premiership Grand Final at the National Speedway Stadium tonight (Monday).

Having taken a strong away win at Oxford four days ago, Belle Vue will go into the clash high on confidence.

But Lemon warned: “Leicester have riders who can do some real damage in Manchester. This is a tough test for us.

“I’m sure they will come back to the National Speedway Stadium wanting some sort of revenge.

“They all know the track very well and all have scored strongly in the past.

“Our boys will have to be at their best to make sure we pick up another win and the aggregate bonus point.

“I’m confident in the team. It was a really good win at Oxford. All the boys contributed well and we are hopefully building some momentum.”

It’s also a return to Manchester for Grand Prix hero and ATPI Aces No.1 Brady Kurtz who now leads the World Championship standings after two rounds.

Lemon added: “Brady has made a sensational start to his debut season in the SGP.

“I’m not surprised by that in the slightest. There’s a long way to go but it’s great to see him delivering on the biggest stage.

“I’m sure he’ll get an amazing reception from the Belle Vue fans at the NSS.”
