BELLE Vue duo Brady Kurtz and Dan Bewley kick off their bid for World title glory when the Grand Prix series gets underway in Germany this weekend.

ATPI Aces skipper Kurtz enjoyed an incredible debut campaign in 2025, making history by winning the final five rounds in succession to finish just one point behind World Champion Bartosz Zmarzlik.

The last time Kurtz was beaten in the Final was in the second Manchester event last June when he finished second behind Zmarzlik. He followed up with wins in Gorzow, Malilla, Riga, Wroclaw and Vojens – but he’s insisted it all starts afresh this year.

Kurtz said: “It doesn’t really matter anymore, we start from zero again this year. Whatever happened last year is irrelevant now.

“I’m just focusing on the first round and I’ll see what happens after that. Everyone is ready to go and everyone wants to be World Champion.”

Bewley also enjoyed a strong season, topped by his win in the first Manchester round along with podium finishes in Landshut, Gorzow, Riga and Wroclaw.

He finished on 142 points, securing an overall medal for the first time in his career with third place.

Bewley said: “I got over the hump of going out in the semi-finals or LCQs and now I’m making Finals more consistently. I felt I was more consistent in general.

“It’s a combination of things. I feel like I have always ridden well enough. It’s just about putting yourself in the right positions and being more consistent from the starts.”

Saturday’s opener is followed by the Czech Republic GP in Prague on May 23, and then all roads lead to Manchester for Rounds 3 and 4, with tickets available at https://www.sgpmanchester.com/ .

Back in the present day, Kurtz and Bewley will be back for the ATPI Aces when they host newcomers Northampton in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership on Monday (midday start). Tickets and hospitality can be purchased here: https://www.bellevue-speedway.com/tickets .
