BELLE Vue extended their lead to five points at the top of the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership table with a 53-37 win over King’s Lynn.
The ATPI Aces maintained their unbeaten home record in comfortable fashion as they also eased to the aggregate point following their 49-41 win in Norfolk last month.
Another strong start set the tone as the hosts opened with back-to-back heat advantages.
Brady Kurtz led a 4-2 in the opener before a 5-1 in Heat 2, with William Cairns taking the chequered flag on his 17th birthday to register his first top-flight race win around the National Speedway Stadium.
The visitors responded with a maximum in a dramatic Heat 3 as Peter Kildemand’s bike caught fire as he crossed the finish line, but successive 4-2s then restored the Aces’ six point lead.
Kurtz and Jason Doyle continued their unbeaten start as they led the way in the first two shared races of the night before Norick Blodorn and Cairns combined for a 5-1 in Heat 8 to go ten up.
Zach Cook and Kildemand kept tactical substitute Ben Cook at the back in a shared Heat 9 before Kurtz and Blodorn registered a 4-2 in the tenth.
A scary moment for Doyle on bend four of the opening lap helped the visitors take a second 5-1 in Heat 11 with a 3-3 keeping the gap at eight with three to go.
But it was heat-leader duo Kurtz and Doyle who sealed the points with a maximum in Heat 13 before Cook and Zischke then both worked their way past youngster Cooper Rushen for another 5-1 in Heat 14.
Former Ace Ben Cook turned on the style to round off with a win over Doyle and brother Zach in Heat 15.
Team manager Mark Lemon said: “It was more of a competitive night in some respects than our last two home meetings, the points scores were definitely closer - a couple of 5-1s for King’s Lynn made sure of that.
“But the meeting result was never really in doubt and it was another easy night in the pits for me just allowing the riders to go out there and have their programmed rides.
“Everyone chipped in along the way but a big well done to William on his birthday; he’s really stepped up and shown some maturity and as our Rising Star he’s doing more than his job and he’s improving week in week out.
“Things are looking pretty good for us right now but with the way the fixtures work, we’ll have a clearer indication this time next month.”
The ATPI Aces are next in action at Northampton on Thursday, July 9 (7.30pm) before hosting the Foxes at the National Speedway Stadium on Monday, July 13 (7.30pm).
