BELLE Vue will track a full one-to-seven including new signing Jason Doyle when they go back into ROWE Motor Oil Premiership action at home to Leicester on Monday (7.30pm).

Former World Champion Doyle has joined the ATPI Aces as a replacement for long-term injury victim Dan Bewley, and the hard-riding Australian is delighted to be back in British speedway.

A further boost for the Aces is the news that Danish star Peter Kildemand has made a successful return from a broken collarbone, and he will be back in the side at No.3.

Kildemand rode for his Championship club Berwick on Saturday, and after running a last place in Heat 1 he then reeled off five successive wins to inspire a 46-44 win over Glasgow.

It means the Aces have their regular middle-order pairing back together as Kildemand rejoins Zach Cook, whilst Norick Blodorn is also back to partner World Championship leader Brady Kurtz after missing the late-May double against Sheffield due to a GP Qualifier.

The Aces haven’t raced since those clashes with the Tigers, but the league situation has remained largely unchanged with a spate of meetings being postponed around the country.

They hold a three-point lead at the top of the table with Leicester currently in second place after enjoying a strong season so far.

The Lions have reached the KO Cup Final as they defend that item of silverware, whilst their league campaign has seen two home wins out of two, although they were disappointed to trip up at Northampton last month.

Stewart Dickson’s side are led by Ryan Douglas at No.1 with the Australian in strong form this season, and a switch in riding order due to the new averages this month means the experienced Kyle Howarth lines up at reserve.

He is joined by Joe Thompson who has resumed his spot as the Lions’ Rising Star at the expense of Dan Gilkes.

Aces manager Mark Lemon said: “I was pleased to take two points from Bank Holiday Monday and we were not far away from claiming the aggregate point against Sheffield.

“However, it would be unfair to place too much pressure on the rest of the team to continually cover for Dan’s absence, so I was keen to bring in a new rider.

“Jason brings a wealth of experience around UK tracks, and our younger riders will benefit greatly from having someone of his calibre in the team.

“Leicester have been performing well, and I am sure they will be much stronger than they were when they visited here on Easter Monday. They have genuine strength in depth, and we will need to be at our best from the very first heat.”
