BELLE Vue have suffered a major injury setback with World No.3 Dan Bewley involved in a high-speed crash in Denmark on Wednesday.
Bewley was taken to hospital after the accident in Heat 1 of the Region Varde v Slangerup fixture, where his machine straightened as he headed into the first corner from the outside gate, causing him go heavily into the fence.
Initial reports are of a suspected broken femur, and we will update further as and when we have official confirmation.
All at Belle Vue wish Dan all the very best for as speedy a recovery as possible, and we are sure those sentiments will be echoed throughout the wider speedway community.
The ATPI Aces are next in action against Sheffield on Bank Holiday Monday (midday start) and a team update ahead of that meeting will follow in due course.
