Unlike their Premiership counterparts, the Colts have only featured intermittently in league competition throughout our 95-year history.
But since moving to the National Speedway Stadium in 2016, they have been a staple of our youth development programme for which club bosses have big plans in the seasons to come.
Their new identity brings the Colts into line with the iconic look of the Belle Vue Aces logo with a modern twist on their easily recognisable equestrian motif.
Belle Vue CEO Mark Lemon said: “We are very passionate about youth development at this club, and it is our ambition to see our Belle Vue Colts team become the focal point of our efforts.
“We are excited to re-brand them to be more closely aligned with the iconic Belle Vue Aces brand and to bring them closer to our Premiership side in general.
“The Belle Vue Colts is not just an ‘added extra’ to this club, they are very much a part of our family and a gateway for young riders to advance into the Belle Vue Aces in the future.
“And in conjunction with our Track Days at the National Speedway Stadium, which are growing in popularity, our aim is to create a pathway of progression for young riders to follow.”
The Belle Vue ‘Cool Running’ Colts will commence their 2023 league campaign at home on Good Friday, April 7 at 1pm against the Berwick Bullets.
