BELLE VUE boss Mark Lemon admits that Leicester are “dangerous opposition” ahead of a huge clash.
The ATPI Aces take on Leicester in a vital ROWE Motor Oil Premiership clash at the National Speedway Stadium on Monday night, 7.30pm.
Lemon’s side are just three points ahead of the Lions in third and fourth in the table and it’s a repeat of last season’s Grand Final.
The big news for the ATPI Aces is that Norick Blodorn returns from injury after missing the last three meetings.
He said: “We have to give great credit to the Lions for becoming a strong force in the Premiership.
“Stewart Dickson has made them very strong at home and that always makes them dangerous opposition, especially when it comes to the play-offs.
“Just like last season, they appear to be finding a good bit of form leading up to the business end of the campaign.
“They have great riders throughout. We know what Max (Fricke) is capable of and when you add the likes of Ryan Douglas, Sam Masters and Kyle Howarth, they are a difficult team to beat.
“But I’m very confident of what our boys can produce. It should be a very hard-fought contest.
“It will be great to have Norick back. His solid scoring has been missed and it takes some pressure off the less experienced boys.
“We’ve had a couple of really strong home wins recently, now we want to keep that momentum going.
“After Monday we have a break from action at the National Speedway Stadium until August 4 when Ipswich are the opposition. So we hope the fans will pack in to see us before three vital away meetings.”
