BELLE Vue have recalled Warwickshire youngster Freddy Hodder to their National Development League side for the 2023 campaign, along with Colts newcomer Matt Marson.
The pair join returning captain Jack Smith and Sam Hagon to the Mancunian side as team building for the upcoming season continues in earnest.
Sensational rookie Hodder made his full NDL debut with the Cool Running Colts last year, having only been on a 500cc for less than six months prior.
The 16-year-old progressed at a rapid rate around the National Speedway Stadium, impressing club bosses so much that he was a high on their priority list to retain.
Perth native Marson makes the move from Mildenhall to Manchester after three seasons with the Fen Tigers and is keen to prove himself at his new stomping ground.
The 22-year-old broke onto the British scene in 2018 and went onto feature in the Mildenhall septet that charged to National Trophy glory that same year.
Belle Vue CEO Mark Lemon is pleased with the way the Class of 2023 is shaping up, saying: “The four riders we have so far are a perfect fit for Belle Vue and I believe they will gel nicely.
“Freddy was one for the future when he caught our eye at a Belle Vue Experience day back in 2021 and is continuing to develop in to fine young rider. We welcome Freddy back to Belle Vue.
“Likewise with Matt, he has got a lot of potential. He was a staple of Mildenhall for three years and brings with him a lot of experience to the National Speedway Stadium”.
The Club hopes to bring further news regarding online ticket sales once the 2023 NDL fixtures go live, which is expected to be very soon.
