MANCHESTER-based brewer and pub operator Joseph Holt has joined forces with Belle Vue Speedway to produce a new beer specifically for sale to race day fans.

A selection of Joseph Holt beers will be available for supporters at our home fixtures -= including the unique Belle Vue Aces Lager.

Joseph Holt says it’s a partnership that brings together two of the north’s most instantly recognisable brands – each with decades of history to their names.

This year, Joseph Holt celebrates their 175th anniversary and has been in the same family for six generations, operating 127 pubs across the north-west, after being established in 1849.

Meanwhile, Belle Vue Speedway is the longest continually-operating Speedway club in the world, having been involved in the shale sport for 96 years; including throughout WWII.

Manchester established itself as a centre for Speedway after the sport was brought to the UK from Australia in 1928.

It is this combined history which pointed to a natural partnership with Belle Vue Aces, says Andy Hope, free trade account manager at Joseph Holt.

He added: We are thrilled to be partnering with Belle Vue Speedway. We bring so much heritage and are proud to be a recognisable part of the history of Manchester and the north-west.

“We are delighted that lovers of speedway will be able to enjoy some of our popular beers while watching this exciting sport.

“We wish Belle Vue Aces every success as the team goes from strength to strength.”

As well as Belle Vue Aces Lager, which Holts describe as “a fresh, light session beer” the other Joseph Holt ales on sale at Belle Vue Speedway include Holts Smooth and Trailblazer Stout.

Belle Vue CEO Mark Lemon added: “We are delighted with this collaboration.

“Belle Vue Speedway and the Belle Vue Aces have so much in common with Joseph Holt. We have a shared sense of the importance of history, of sustainability and of the values on which you build a successful company or organisation.”
