BELLE Vue skipper Brady Kurtz says he can look forward to the upcoming Grand Prix schedule with plenty of confidence.

Kurtz will be one of the favourites this weekend for the massive double-header in Manchester which takes place on Friday and Saturday and forms Rounds 3 and 4 of the series.

Having finished second overall last year, the opening round in Germany was a disappointment as Kurtz scored eight points, but he bounced back with 18 for runners-up spot in Prague last time out.

It leaves him third in the overall standings, six points behind leader and World Champion Bartosz Zmarzlik, and heading into a phase of the calendar which will hold no fears.

Two rounds on his home ROWE Motor Oil Premiership track will be followed by Round 5 at Wroclaw on June 20, which is his home track in the Polish Ekstraliga – and next up is Malilla in Sweden on July 11, where Kurtz spent three seasons with Dackarna.

And he goes into the weekend in top form after a six-ride 18-point maximum for Wroclaw at Czestochowa last Friday.

Kurtz said: “The first two rounds were always the ones that I thought were going to be the toughest for me.

“They are probably the two tracks that I enjoy the least I guess you could say, but the rest of the calendar looks really good.

“There’s a lot of good tracks coming up, so I’m looking forward to all of them.

“I was really happy with second at Prague, it got me back up the table a bit which was definitely needed.”
