BELLE Vue skipper Brady Kurtz will head to Torun in a fortnight as part of an incredible three-way World title fight after Robert Lambert won in Vojens on Saturday.

Lambert, who helped the Aces to the league title in 2022 when he replaced the injured Max Fricke, was successful in a curtailed Danish GP which was abandoned due to rain with scores counting after 20 heats.

Kurtz and Bartosz Zmarzlik had been set to meet in the second Last Chance Qualifier, but the call-off meant they were classified seventh and fifth respectively.

It means Lambert has moved to the top of the standings on 142 points with Zmarzlik on 141 and Kurtz on 139.

Kurtz had earlier taken four useful points by winning the Sprint Race, so he actually gained two points on Zmarzlik across the event. The Torun GP on September 26 also features a Sprint.

Jason Doyle’s night was already over after Heat 20 as he missed out on the Last Chance Qualifiers on countback despite a Heat 19 win leaving him on seven points. He is now ninth in the series, but 23 points outside the top seven.
