PREMIERSHIP Champion Robert Lambert is returning to the scene of his late 2022 triumphs after confirming his place in the 2023 Peter Craven Memorial on March 20.
The World No.5 came into the title-seeking Belle Vue septet for last year’s Play Offs in place of long-term injury victim Max Fricke and was quickly accepted into the side.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed many nights in Manchester like this one, one being his superb appearance in the 2018 British Final when he was crowned Britain’s No.1.
A competitive rider, he has yet to add his name to our prestigious season opener’s trophy but is pipped amongst the favourites to do so.
Belle Vue supremo Mark Lemon said: “This will be the first time since winning the Premiership that Robert has returned to the National Speedway Stadium, so it’ll be like a homecoming for him.
“He’s a world class rider at the top of his game, and with the success he has experienced in Manchester previously it’s fair to say that he will be another one to watch for the win in the Peter Craven.”
The 28th staging of the Peter Craven Memorial takes place Monday, March 20th at 7:30pm.
Meeting tickets are now available to purchase online at bellevue-speedway.com and race day hospitality is available to book through our club shop.
