BELLE Vue Speedway is delighted to confirm that Manchester has been selected as the host city for the 2024 FIM Speedway of Nations from July 9 to July 13!
The event returns to the National Speedway Stadium after three years when, in 2021, Great Britain were crowned world champions in front of their home crowd.
Subsequently, in 2022, the Brits claim the silver medal behind reigning Speedway of Nations Champions Australia, who will be looking to defend their title in the UK.
Belle Vue CEO Mark Lemon shared his delight at the return of a major international Speedway event to Britain and says the club is looking forward to welcoming back the world’s best.
He said: “We are thrilled to welcome such a prestigious global event back to the city of Manchester and, as a club, we are immensely proud to be selected as hosts.
“The National Speedway Stadium was designed with such events as this at its heart, and we have seen in past seasons the level of enthusiasm by the British supporters to join us at this wonderful venue.
“We are also very much looking forward to hosting the Speedway of Nations 2 event, in addition to the senior event, which is a huge cap for this Stadium and a first for Belle Vue Speedway.
“On behalf of ourselves and Manchester City Council, with whom we share an excellent relationship, we cannot wait to work with Warner Brothers Discovery next year on these four huge meetings.”
Ticket information for the 2024 FIM Speedway of Nations will be communicated in due course, as will details concerning hospitality packages.
