BELLE Vue CEO Mark Lemon says supporters attending this weekend’s FIM Grand Prix of Manchester double header can expect an enhanced experience – in addition to thrilling racing from the sport’s top stars.
The National Speedway Stadium made its debut on the GP calendar last year with the Friday event hailed by many as the best meeting in the 30-year history of the series, and with further drama and excitement following on Saturday.
Lemon says the club have put into practice the off-track learnings from 2025 as they look ahead to this year’s event.
He said: “Last year was the biggest event we had staged at the National Speedway Stadium. The support, the excitement, the build-up… ticket sales were fantastic.
“We had some teething problems with the East Stand but managed to rectify those from the Friday night to the Saturday.
“Everything from catering to customer experience, we’ve learnt a lot. Hopefully we’ve put that practice into place now for this upcoming Grand Prix.
“There’s more food courts and increased Fan Zone activities. We’ve got a park and-ride in place this time and we’ve worked with the city council in trying to make the experience more enjoyable for supporters.
“The track produces phenomenal racing, week-in, week-out, whether it’s National League, Premiership or Grand Prix, when you’ve got the best in the world tearing it up.
“Our track staff are led by Andy Meredith and we’ve brought Jonathan Swales in to help with that like we did last year. It’s a first class team all around.”
A limited number of East Stand tickets are available for the GP on Friday evening (7pm) along with a very small number of East Stand tickets for Saturday (7pm).
All ticket bookings should be made at https://sgpmanchester.com , and that site also has all arrangements for parking, park & ride and the Fanzone.
