BELLE Vue are preparing for another massive meeting at the East of England Arena on Monday, June 26 when they face Peterborough for the second time at their Alwalton home.

The ATPI Aces handed the Panthers a devastating 55-35 defeat at the National Speedway Stadium last Monday, putting themselves in a prime position for the bonus aggregate point.

The reigning league champions have already produced a brilliant victory at the Arena earlier this season, triumphing 35-55 on their trip back in April.

And on both occasions they travelled there last year, they also managed to put paid to any plans the Panthers may have had of a win on home shale.

Both teams are expected to be at full strength for Monday’s televised match, with Norick Blodorn back in action for the ATPI Aces after an injury scare last week.

The German took his place in Friday’s SGP2 round in Gorzow where he scored 11 points and moved up to seventh overall in the standings, with one round to go.

Team skipper Brady Kurtz is eager to see his side perform well in front of the Eurosport cameras and is confident, but not complacent, ahead of the meeting.

He said: “I’m not sure where things have gone wrong for Peterborough this season because, on paper, they have a strong team with a lot of experience.

“They gave us a minor scare last week, having strengthened up with Vadim [Tarasenko] but, again, we showed our own strength to come out with a big win.

“Peterborough is one of those tracks that all our boys like to ride because it’s so similar to the NSS, and we’ve put in some very good performances there in the past two seasons.

“We know our capabilities, but we can’t take anything for granted. It only needs them to get themselves together on the night and they could be a dangerous opponent.

“But we’re looking forward to this meeting. We’re enjoying our Speedway right now and that’s showing in the results we’re achieving, and I feel we are capable of achieving another win on Monday.”

The ATPI Aces make the trip to the East of England Arena on Monday, June 26 before travelling to Leicester on June 29 for the Premiership Pairs, with Kurtz and Dan Bewley set to star for the Aces.
