TWO weeks after their last Premiership battle at the National Speedway Stadium, Belle Vue look to make it a triumphant return to Manchester when they face Peterborough on Monday, April 24.

The two sides met last week at the East of England Arena where the Crendon Panthers found life very difficult against the reigning League Champions, who battled their way to a 35-55 victory.

And with the new league points scoring system in place, the ATPI Aces have given themselves an excellent chance of the aggregate bonus point, meaning a grand total of 3 is on offer for them.

Peter Craven finalist Niels-Kristian Iversen, along with former Belle Vue racers Richie Worrall and Hans Andersen, all headline for the visitors as they look to put right their mistakes from last week.

Rider Replacement will be in effect for Peterborough at No.1, while the ATPI Aces are at full strength and riding the crest of a wave after three consecutive wins at Ipswich, Peterborough and Leicester.

Club supremo Mark Lemon said: “It’s been a long time since we won two consecutive meetings on the road, never mind three so to say that we’re very happy with last week is an understatement.

“But we are well overdue a win at the National Speedway Stadium and our focus is very much on making that happen, but I’m confident the boys will deliver the goods.

“The line was drawn under the Wolverhampton match and the resolve of the boys since then has been outstanding, and we only have to look at our results since then as testament to that.

“The Panthers haven’t had the best of campaigns since their league championship success, against us no less, back in 2021 but that doesn’t mean they are not capable of turning things around.

“We are the best example of how quickly fortunes can change. We struggled big time in our opening meetings against Sheffield and Wolves and now look at us, top of the table; for now.”

The ATPI Aces resume their title defence at the National Speedway Stadium on Monday, April 24 with the reciprocating fixture against the Peterborough Panthers.

Meeting tickets, race day hospitality and south stand parking are now available to pre-book at bellevue-speedway.com.
