BELLE Vue launch the new season of Speedway live on British Eurosport on Monday when we travel to newly-promoted Birmingham’s Perry Barr Stadium in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership.

After a solid few weeks, the ATPI Aces currently sit fourth in the league table, with only a mere point separating them from Leicester, Ipswich and Oxford in first, second and third.

And a comfortable win against the Brummies would see them go top of the table, at least for the time being, to round off their April campaign.

Both sides are expected to be at full strength for this encounter, with Birmingham boasting the likes of Piotr Pawlicki and the vastly experienced Vaclav Milik spearheading the side.

This will be the first time in years that a Belle Vue team has tackled the unique challenges of Perry Barr but club supremo Mark Lemon is not concerned at their ability to adapt.

He said: “It’s perhaps my favourite word to use when describing this team. Each one understands the mission and each always quickly adapts to the job at hand.

“We have some fond memories of previous visits to Birmingham and we’re very excited to feature in the first televised Eurosport fixture of the season.

“The boys have had a successful few weeks and are in prime position in the league table as we look to finish our April meetings on a high.

“That said, Birmingham have some very impressive riders in their side, several with international and world championship experience, so we will be on our guard.

“But it’s never about focusing on what the opponent is doing as much as it is maintaining our own game plan, and right now we’ve found something that has been working very well for us.”

The ATPI Aces take a break from home action to travel to Birmingham’s Perry Barr Stadium on Monday, April 29 where they face off against the newly-promoted Brummies.

They then take to home shale on Monday, May 6 for a bank holiday bash that sees the Brummies travel to the National Speedway Stadium for the first time this year.

Meeting tickets, race day programmes and south stand parking are now available to pre-book, along with race day hospitality, at bellevue-speedway.com.
