BELLE Vue are down to their penultimate ROWE Motor Oil Premiership home match on Monday, August 12 when they face the King’s Lynn Stars at the National Speedway Stadium.
The ATPI Aces remain third in the league standings after a dramatic week of racing, with the top three balanced on the edge of a knife having each raced 19 of their 24 fixtures.
King’s Lynn, though out of contention for this season’s play offs, still have capacity to cause major upset as they hold matches in hand over their league title rivals.
And while their team struggles have been well documented, they have recalled Lewis Kerr into their team to plug the gap left by Tobiasz Musielak while Charles Wright guests for Nicolai Klindt.
The ATPI Aces likewise boast a full-strength septet as they look to capitalise on their remaining fixture in one last-gasp effort to top the league table.
Team boss Mark Lemon said: “Kings Lynn have had another tough season in the Premiership, despite the fact that many had fancied them for the top four in the beginning.
“They have had to contend with injuries and many changes since then, but they come to Manchester fired up and determined to finish their year strong.
“We are expecting a tough encounter against the Stars. They’ve got some very capable riders, such as Ben Basso and Niels-Kristian Iversen, so we’ll have to be on point.
“This is our second to last home meeting before the play offs, but we still have some significant away meetings that we must be successful in to ensure our top four hopes are realised.
“This is our chance to consolidate our play off status and I have faith that our ATPI Aces will do what is needed to do, “their jobs”, to secure another home win.”
The Belle Vue ‘ATPI’ Aces welcome the King’s Lynn Stars to Manchester on Monday, August 12 for another crucial home clash in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership.
Meeting tickets, race day programmes and south stand parking are now available to pre-book online at bellevue-speedway.com/events.
