ANOTHER match and another aggregate bonus pint on the line for Belle Vue in the National Development league when they welcome Edinburgh to Manchester on Friday, July 21.

And there’s an added extra treat for spectators on the night as the club hosts the 250cc and 500c British Youth Championship round ahead of the main meeting, with tapes up at 6:00pm.

The Cool Running Colts travelled to Armadale earlier in the season where, due to bad luck more than anything, they found themselves on the receiving end of a 50-40 defeat.

It means the home team have 10 points to make up in order to secure the aggregate bonus point while also pursuing the two league points on offer for winning on the night.

Should they be successful, the Cool Running Colts would move up to second in the league table and into Play off grand final territory, with the top two set to compete for this year’s title.

While the home team are at full strength, the Monarchs Academy find themselves without four of their regulars with rider replacement in effect for the injured Alex Spooner at No.2.

Highly-rated youngster Ashton Boughen comes in at No.4 in place of the injured Jacob Hook, while unattached 3-point rider Mark Parker stands in at No.3 for the injured Kyran Lyden.

And former Belle Vue Colts racer Connor Coles come in to spearhead the Monarchs Academy in place of Adam Roynon who is on Championship duty with Poole.

Colts co-boss Graham Goodwin said: “This is another must-win meeting for us. The boys performed very well against Kent but we’ve still got quite a hill to climb to make the play offs.

“Edinburgh will be making things difficult for us. They’ve been very clever with the team they’re bringing to Belle Vue in terms of their choice of guests in particular.

“It’s going to be a tough one but the lads know their way around their home track. I mean, who’d have thought they’d go out and do what they did against Kent?

“They’re full of confidence right now. We know they’ll go out there and give it their best shot, and if we can grab the aggregate bonus point as well, so much the better.”

The Cool Running Colts face Edinburgh at home on Friday, July 21 at 7:30pm, with the 250cc and 500cc British Youth Championship kicking off the night at 6:00pm.

Meeting tickets, race day programmes and south stand parking are now available to pre-book online at bellevue-speedway.com/events.
