BELLE Vue go into battle at the Adrian Flux Arena on Thursday, August 24 in their final away fixture of the 2023 campaign before the Play Offs against the King’s Lynn Stars.

The ATPI Aces delivered a comprehensive victory over the MacInnes Stars on home shale earlier this week and take a 30-point aggregate lead to Norfolk after winning 57-27.

Such a margin would suggest that they have at least the bonus league point in the bag already, but the reigning league champions are determined to take all three on offer on the night.

It’s been a woeful time for King’s Lynn, with rider changes and miserable results plaguing their season, and even former Belle Vue racer Robert Lambert struggled to revive their fortune on Monday.

The Stars remain without injury victims Nicolai Klindt and Thomas Jorgensen, with rider replacement in effect for Klindt at No.2 and Jordan Jenkins stepping in as guest at No.4 for Jorgensen.

Skipper Brady Kurtz says his side are taking nothing for granted. With a clean slate, a new day and a rejuvenated opposition, there will be no easy races for the ATPI Aces.

He said: “You have to take King’s Lynn for what it is. It’s a special track and conditions are always pretty good and you have to turn up with a mind to attack it if you want to be successful.

“All the boys are looking forward to this meeting, and to the rest of our season and the Play Offs. We’re enjoying ourselves and our results are testament to that.”

“I’m certain Monday’s result will be playing on their minds and we have to use that to our advantage. On paper they have a good team, and we can’t take them for granted.

“But we have already proved our strength and the last time we went to King’s Lynn we had a good meeting, and we’re wanting to make another big statement on Thursday.

“We want to finish top, we’re not taking our foot off the gas now. Everyone looks to be hitting some great form and we need to ensure every other club realise that.

The ATPI Aces head to King’s Lynn on Thursday, August 24 for their final away match before the Play Off semi-finals, tapes up at 7:30pm.

They are back for their final home gambit on Monday, August 28 when they face the formidable Leicester Lions at the National Speedway Stadium, tapes up at 12:00pm.

And the Cool Running Colts take to the track on Friday, August 25 after a month away from home against the Workington Comets, tapes up at 7:30pm.

Meeting tickets, race day programmes, south stand parking and hospitality are now available to pre-book online at bellevue-speedway.com/events.
