BELLE Vue take their National Development League push on the road on Thursday, September 12 when they journey to Owlerton to face the joint Sheffield/Scunthorpe venture.

The Cool Running Colts are just three meetings away from completing their calendar fixtures, with a trip to Edinburgh on September 13, where they hope to build on their previous win at home.

They then take centre stage at the National Speedway Stadium on October 11 for their final home clash against Sheffield/Scunthorpe to close the Speedway year in Manchester.

The Cool Running colts traverse the Pennines still without their two injury victims Luke Muff and Chad Wirtzfeld, with RR and Jack Shimelt guesting for each respective rider.

And the club has called on Max James to guest at No.1 in place of Sam Hagon, who is on Premiership Play Off duty with Leicester in their second-leg battle with Ipswich.

Club boss Steve Williams said: “We’re optimistic about our chances at Sheffield. It will be a learning curve for a few of the boys because they won’t have ridden this track before.

“And even though we are still without a handful of our riders we’ve got some very capable guests and as the last few matches have shown, we’ve been able to muddle together and get a result.

“Not having your number one is a blow but I have confidence that the boys will do as they have done before, pull together and work as a team and hopefully do enough to get the bonus point.”

The Belle Vue ‘Cool Running’ Colts travel to Sheffield on Thursday, September 12 before heading north to Edinburgh on Friday, September 13 for their final two away fixtures of 2024.

They then return to Manchester on October 11 for their last home appearance of the season against Sheffield/Scunthorpe at the National Speedway Stadium.

The Belle Vue 'ATPI' Aces meanwhile prepare for their Premiership Play Off semi-final against the senior Tigers on Monday, September 16.
