THREE-time World Speedway Champion Nicki Pedersen will make his first appearance at Manchester’s National Speedway Stadium in the 2023 Peter Craven Memorial on Monday, March 20.

The Danish dynamo has not raced in Britian since the 2018 season and in late February announced his UK return with the Peterborough Panthers.

As a former Grand Prix regular and frequent GP winner, he gained a “pantomime villain” reputation amongst the fans for his edgy, all-out style and on-track antics.

Pedersen’s return to the British Premiership has been met with massive support from the Speedway going public and Belle Vue CEO Mark Lemon is delighted to feature him in the club’s season opener.

He said: “This will be the first time we’ll see Nicki race at Manchester’s National Speedway Stadium and we cannot wait to see that”.

“There is no denying Nicki is one of Speedway’s most entertaining riders, and it is fantastic to have a three times world champion and such a high calibre rider in this year’s Peter Craven Memorial.”

The 28th staging of the Peter Craven Memorial takes place Monday, March 20th at 7:30pm. Meeting tickets are now available to purchase online at bellevue-speedway.com.
