BELLE Vue were frustrated by the weather on Thursday as their ROWE Motor Oil Premiership match at Ipswich was postponed.
The Foxhall circuit escaped the worst of showery conditions during the day but was hit by a downpour close to start time.
Following discussions between the captains and team managers, remedial work was attempted but this proved unsuccessful and the meeting was called off at around 7.50pm.
It meant no change to the league standings with all three of Thursday’s meetings being postponed, Sheffield and Leicester having taken decisions at their own venues over 24 hours before start time.
The ATPI Aces therefore remain top of the early league standings but they now have over a week to wait until they are back in action.
Next up is a massive Bank Holiday double against Sheffield on Monday May 25, racing in Manchester at midday and at Owlerton at 7.30pm.
